The Portfolio Holder is
requested to agree the or order (and thus purchase) of an 18-tonne
Street Sweeper via an appropriate framework for work within the
Street Cleansing service.
 
It is expected that the vehicles will be £190,000 in
total; with capital budget agreed by Council for
2026/2027.
 
The vehicle being replaced is 12 years old and will be kept
as an operating spare, to ensure that we continue to have a
suitable level of spare vehicles.
 
Decision:
To place the order the required
vehicle, with payment upon delivery in 2026/2027.

Reasons for the decision

This is a vehicle purchase
within the Fleet Forward Plan as approved by Cabinet and Council on
15 September 2025.
