To set the fees for garden
waste season 2026 to 2027 as £60 per card/cash subscription
and £49 for direct debit payments.
 
Note: Card payments will be
offered at the DD rate if for any reason DD options are
unavailable.

Reasons for the decision

Fees to be publicised in autumn
2025 and existing customers to be communicated with early prior to
2026/27 subscriptions going on sale in January 2026.
 
Garden Waste service forms part
of the Council’s Medium Term Financial Plan.
 
The service was set out in 2016
by Cabinet as cost neutral and as such fees increase inline with
increasing service-related costs.
