To
delay the delivery and implementation of domestic food waste
service by 5 months, with dedicated flatted and communal collection
properties to follow this in a planned manner. 
 
Decision:
The Portfolio Holder for Refuse and Recycling, Parks and
Open Spaces has decided to inform Defra of a change to
implementation deadlines due to delays to the delivery of essential
equipment such as vehicles.
 

Reasons for the decision

Delays to the delivery of food
waste collection vehicles due to current demand.

Alternative options considered

Temporary hire of vehicles was
discounted due to costs, availability and lack of in-cab
systems.
