As part of the Fenland Inspire!
5 x 3G Pitch programme, FDC will support the Estover Park AGP
project pre-development work to address planning conditions
regarding the vehicular access to Estover Park and drainage
requirements for the site.
 
Decision:
Peter Catchpole, S151 Officer
and Finance Director agrees to necessary design works, to a value
in the region of £12,000 from the Fenland Inspire! 3G Pitch
Project budget, to address pre-commencement conditions for drainage
and vehicular access arrangements to Estover Park as part of
planning conditions for the development of the AGP at Estover Park
– due to commence in summer 2026.

Reasons for the decision

A grant from the Football
Foundation is expected to cover most of the cost for the
development of the new full sized AGP, with March Town Council
supporting a further £240,000 for the project. 
 
To ensure that the full sized
AGP project can move forward smoothly, securing the third-party
funding for this very important community project, FDC will carry
out design work necessary to address the Planning Agreement’s
pre-commencement conditions.
 

Alternative options considered

N/A - this is a key community
project with significant third-party funding shortly to be
agreed.  Ensuring that all conditions to
meet any grant agreement is an important local issue and has the
support of Local Elected Members.
