Decision
To provide existing capital funds totalling £180,000 for the immediate repair and refurbishment of the Fenland owned Public Toilet facilities in Chatteris, Whittlesey and Wisbech.
Reasons for the decision
The public toilets were last invested in 15 years ago and require urgent repair to allow customers to continue to make use of these important town centre facilities.
Alternative options considered
1. To close and demolish the facilities.
2. To maintain the current facilities as they are, recognising that a limited service is being provided in Chatteris, Whittlesey and Wisbech, whilst identifying and promoting other toilet facilities in our town centres.
