Members considered that the
recent motoring related conviction could not be considered minor in
nature but on the balance of probability were satisfied that the
Application is a fit and proper person as under the Local
Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976 to hold a Hackney
Carriage and Private Hire Driver’s Licence and that a licence
for a three year period should be granted on the condition that a
further DVLA fee paying enquiry is carried out at 12 months of the
date of the grant of the licence at the Applicant’s
expense.
