That against the officer recommendation, planning
permission be granted for the following reasons:

 

there being exceptional circumstances because of the
proposed padel courts giving rise to such noise levels that in an
urban context would be detrimental to amenity;

recreational and wellbeing benefits to the
community; and

the success and extension of a successful
established business.

and subject to the following conditions:

Opening hours 7am-9pm on weekdays, 7am-7pm on
weekends and bank holidays.

·        
Highways condition to restrict parking and turning
of vehicles on the car park, not on the main road.

·        
To be included in the approved plans and documents
condition on the decision notice: Approved Document: Flood
Consequence Assessment, WML Consulting, dated
12th December 2024, 11715G-WML-00-XX-RP-C001-Rev

·        
The development to commence before the expiration of
5 years from the date of the permission.

·        
The development to be carried out in accordance with
listed approved plans and documents.

·        
External facing materials of the proposed golf bays
to match the existing in terms of type and external
colour.

·        
Proposed finish colours of padel court fencing and
lighting columns to be submitted and agreed, and implemented in
accordance with that agreement.

·        
External lighting to be switched off when the courts
are not in use and at the end of each operating day.
