Purpose

To provide a progress report on the local
authority statutory duty under the Childcare Act (2006) in relation
to childcare sufficiency and information for families and provide
assurance to members.

Content

(a)       That the progress
and impact of the five-year Childcare Sufficiency Assessment and
annual action plan be endorsed;
 
(b)       That the
complimentary response from Welsh Government in relation to the
Childcare Sufficiency Assessment Progress Report for 2024-25 be
acknowledged; and
 
(c)        That the
ongoing progress in delivering accurate and accessible information
to families through the Family Intervention Service, supporting
informed choices on childcare, early years education, family
support, and related services, be noted.
