Purpose

To provide recommendations to Cabinet on the
work undertaken by the Holiday Hunger Working Group.

Content

(a)     That the Committee
note and support the report;

 

(b)     That the Committee
support the implementation of Option 3 as the preferred method to
address the terms of the Council Notice of Motion of June 2024 on
Holiday Hunger;

 

(c)     That the Committee
support the continuing role of the Holiday Hunger Group to provide
oversight of the procurement and development of sustainable options
and, once implemented, oversight of the effectiveness and value for
money.  The group shall report to the
Education, Youth & Culture Overview & Scrutiny Committee
every six months; and

 

(d)     That the Chair write
to the Senior Manager (Housing, Welfare and Community) thanking her
and her Team for all of their work as part of the Holiday Hunger
Working Group.
