Purpose

To provide an update on the development of the
Flintshire and Wrexham Investment Zone and to seek approval for the
final investment package and inter-authority agreement between the
parties to the programme.

Content

(a)       That
the Governance Structure, including the establishment of an
Investment Zone Working Group, set out in Section 1 and the key
roles and responsibilities of the Council in supporting the
delivery of the Investment Zone be approved;
 
(b)       That the budget
allocations set out in Table 1 be approved;
 

(c)       
That the key principles of the proposed Inter Authority Agreement
between the North Wales Corporate Joint Committee, Wrexham County
Borough Council and the Council be agreed;
 

(d)       That
delegated authority be given to the Section 151 Officer and the
Monitoring Officer, in consultation with the relevant Cabinet
Member to complete the Inter Authority Agreement between the North
Wales Corporate Joint Committee, Wrexham County Borough Council and
the Council; and
 

(e)       That
the Memorandum of Understanding at Appendix 2, which had been
agreed between the UK Government, Welsh Government and North Wales
Corporate Joint Committee be noted.
