Purpose
For members to review the progress on the development of the Connect to Work programme and to approve the delivery of the programme in Flintshire.
Decision
(a) That the Committee has reviewed and discussed the development of the Connect to Work programme;
(b) That the Committee supports that delegated authority is given to the Chief Officer (Place and Growth) in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Environment, Regeneration, Countryside and Tourism to procure, in conjunction with other relevant local authorities, suitably qualified companies to deliver the programme as set out in the report;
(c) That the Committee supports that delegated authority is given to the Chief Officer (Place and Growth) in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Environment, Regeneration, Countryside and Tourism to manage the Connect to Work and the contracts with the delivery companies in accordance with DWP requirements, varying these arrangements to meet programme and participant needs; and
(d) That the Committee supports that delegated authority is given to the Chief Officer (Place and Growth) in consultation with the Monitoring Officer and the Cabinet Member for Environment, Regeneration, Countryside and Tourism to review and sign agreements for the funding of the programme with the Accountable Body.
