Decision

(a)    That the Committee supports the need for a review of the Overview and Scrutiny function and approves the terms of reference, approach and timelines set out within paragraphs 1.11 to 1.13 of the report; and

(b)    That the Committee supports the appointment of an external body to facilitate the review, and delegates the choice of which body undertakes the review to the Chief Officer (Governance) in consultation with the Chair and Vice-Chair of this Committee, the Leader of Council and the Chief Executive.
