Overview and Scrutiny Committee

The Overview and Scrutiny Committee scrutinises the work of the Folkestone and Hythe District Council and its partners. It reviews the Council's community plan, performance against targets, and how the Council communicates and consults with the public. The committee also examines the effectiveness of partnerships and contributes to the development of the Council's budget, financial strategies, and corporate management policies.

It has a specific role in reviewing executive decisions, including prior scrutiny of proposed decisions and the call-in of implemented executive decisions for reconsideration. The committee also acts as the Council's Crime and Disorder Committee.
