Purpose

The grant will contribute towards employing freelance
carnival artists to work with local school students to make
costumes to take part in the carnival parade.

Charivari brings huge benefits to Folkestone- including to
the many children and young people involved before hand and on the day and also to all those
residents and visitors who enjoy the event on the day, and local
