Full council record
Purpose
Between April and May 2024, the council consulted tenants in Cubitt House, Quaker Court and Bradstone Road on proposals to change the designation of their properties as follows:
· Redesignate Cubitt House from age designated to Independent Living
· Redesignate the 2 Independent Living flats in Quaker Court to general needs
· Redesignate the 12 Independent Living flats in Bradstone Road to general needs
This report sets out the results of the tenant consultation and the resulting recommendations.
Decision
DECISION:
- 1. To receive and note report C/24/19.
- 2. For Cubitt House to remain as an age designated site.
- 3. For the 2 Independent Living flats in Quaker Court and the 12 Independent Living flats in Bradstone Road to remain as Independent Living for now, but for these flats to be moved across to become general needs flats as they become vacant.
Reasons for decision:
Based on the tenant consultation results, existing tenants do not wish to change the designation of their properties. However, as tenants in the Independent Living flats in Quaker Court and Bradstone Road do not receive the full Independent Living service, changing the designation of these flats to general needs flats as they become vacant will better reflect the service they receive.
