Purpose
To seek approval to conduct a competitive
procurement process for the delivery of a Sexual Health Prevention
Service from 1st April 2025.
To delegate authority to the Director of
Public Health in consultation with the Cabinet member for
responsibility for Public Health and Communities to award the
contract to the preferred tenderer.
Decision
That the Leader rejects the alternative
options and takes the recommended decision to:
Delegate authority to the Director of Public
Health, in consultation with the Cabinet member with responsibility
for Public Health and Communities, to:
1.
Conduct a competitive procurement process in respect
of a contract for the supply of a Sexual Health Prevention Service
(hereafter referred to as the Sexual Health & Wellbeing
Outreach Service which is deemed to better reflect the nature and
function of the service) that is scheduled to commence on 1st April
2025. The proposed contract shall continue for an initial period of
three years and include an option to extend its term for a further
period of not more than two years;
2.
Award such contract to the preferred tenderer;
and
3.
Determine whether to exercise the option to extend
the contract for a further period of not more than two years on the
expiry of the initial three-year term.
