Purpose
To agree the implementation of a Fostering
Capital Support Scheme funded on an invest to save basis for an
initial period of two years.
The purpose of the scheme is to enable foster carers and special
guardians to extend or adapt their home such that they would be
able to foster one or two more children for Gloucestershire. This
is pursuant to our Sufficiency Strategy, Home@TheHeart and our
commitment to enabling as many of the children in our care as
possible to grow up within our communities as part of a loving,
stable family
Decision
That the Cabinet Member for Children’s
Safeguarding rejects the alternative options and takes the
recommended decision to:
