Purpose

To seek approval to publish the draft Gloucestershire Domestic Abuse Strategy 2025 – 28 for 6 weeks to gather feedback from the public.

Decision

In coming to this decision I have given due and full regard to the requirements of the public sector equality duty contained in section 149 of the Equality Act 2010 (“the Act”) by reference to the law itself.

Having fully considered all the available information, I have decided to reject the alternative options and take the recommended decision to: 

Approve the publication of the draft Gloucestershire Domestic Abuse Strategy 2025 - 28 on the council’s Have Your Say engagement portal for 6 weeks in order to gather feedback from the public (to comply with the requirements as set out in The Domestic Abuse Support (Local Authority Strategies and Annual Reports) Regulations 2021)
