Purpose

Furniture is required within the new Gloucester City library which will be established in new accommodation within the University of Gloucestershire City Campus in Northgate Street, Gloucester. The furniture will include shelving, a service counter, designed features such as an arch within the children’s library and a selection of loose furniture to accommodate a mix of public use.

Wagstaff Group Ltd, has been identified as the preferred tenderer to receive the direct award of the contract, under the terms of the CCS RM 6308 Framework.

The Framework offers a low-risk, compliant procurement route under 2015 Procurement Regulations.

It has been identified as the recommended procurement strategy route minimising risk and offering assurance this will achieve value for Gloucestershire County Council (GCC).

Achieving an economically and quality-focused contract is a priority with a supplier that can meet the timescales of the project.


To award, without further competition, a Call-Off Contract for the supply and installation of furniture and bespoke modular items at Gloucester Library. The call-off contract shall be awarded under the Crown Commercial Service’s Furniture and Associated Services framework agreement (RM 6308) to the preferred tenderer, Wagstaff Group Ltd, in accordance with the direct award criteria of the framework.

Decision
