Purpose

The Forum has been operating since 2016, supporting Greater Manchester organisations who are engaging in prevention, safeguarding and direct support deliver work, including Programme Challenger, to keep updated on local, regional and national activity linked to modern slavery and human trafficking.

It is important that coordination of the forum is held within the membership to support collaboration and ensure that it continues to meet the needs of its membership.

Following a competitive process in 2025, Causeway Charitable Services were successful in their bid to coordinate the forum. However, they announced a managed closure of their services in March 2026, necessitating a new competitive process

Decision

Funding totalling £25,000 will be allocated to conduct a Request for Quotation process amongst existing members of the Greater Manchester Anti-Slavery Forum to commission on organisation to coordinate the forum for a total of 24 months.
