Purpose

Transitional Safeguarding is an area of work that the GM Complex Safeguarding Hub is currently pioneering alongside the work of the 10 local authorities. It is inscribed in the GMCSH’s Strategy as a priority, and is an area requiring senior leadership coordination and dedicated commitment. The aim to embed transitional safeguarding is to ensure no child’s support from services drops off at the time they turn 18.

This all-day workshop on June 17th will bring together senior leaders, transitional safeguarding advocates and a suitable venue that is central and accommodating to our guests.

Decision

GMCA Complex Safeguarding wishes to pay £2,195 from the Complex Safeguarding Budget to Friends’ Meeting House to host our Transitional Safeguarding Leadership Event on 17th June 2026.
