Purpose

To enable the variation of the
Development Agreement for the residential element of the Woolwich
Leisure Centre Scheme and attendant matters

Agreed
and approved that the Council seek to
vary the Development Agreement between the Council and its
Residential Development Partner, Hill Residential Limited
(‘Hill’) of 11 August 2021 (‘DA’) for the
residential element of the Woolwich Leisure Centre Scheme
(‘WLC Scheme’) to give effect to the principal terms
summarised in Confidential Appendix A of the report and
delegated authority to the Director of Place and Growth to
enter into a Deed of Variation (and/or such other legal
documentation as may be required) to amend the DA;
 
Agreed
and approved that the Council seek to
terminate the Affordable Housing Development Agreement between the
Council and Hill of 11 August 2021 (‘AHDA’) relating to
the affordable housing included in the residential element of the
WLC Scheme and delegated authority to the Director of Place
and Growth to enter into a Deed of Termination (and/or such other
legal documentation as may be required) to terminate the
AHDA;
 
Noted
the financial implications set out in Appendix D to
the report; and
 
Agreed
and approved that the contents of Appendices
A, B, C and D to this Report be exempt from publication on the
grounds that they contain information relating to the financial or
business affairs of a particular person (including the authority
holding that information) under Paragraph 3, Part 1 of Schedule 12A
of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended) and agreed
that this exempt information contained in the confidential
Appendices shall not be released to the press or public.
