Agreed
to the creation and operation of a Tenant Influence and
Oversight Panel for housing tenants of the Royal Borough of
Greenwich. More information in section 4.7 of the
report.
 
Delegated
authority to the Director of Housing and Safer
Communities to make decisions about the management and operation of
the panel, including recruitment and recognition for tenants’
time. More information in section 4.7 of the report.
 
Agreed
to review and implement estate
based engagement opportunities to supplement these
arrangements within one year.
 
Noted
the adoption of the new Resident Engagement Policy
for housing tenants and leaseholders, which is currently being
implemented, and will offer a range of opportunities for residents
to engage with the council as their landlord and to influence
policy and practice. See section 4.2 of the report.
 
Recommended
Full Council to update the sections of the
Constitution on Leaseholder Forum and Borough Wide Housing Panel to
reflect the new resident engagement structure. See section 4.4 and
4.5 below and Appendix E of the report.
 
Recommended
to Full Council that Local Housing Panels are
disbanded and replaced by the Tenant Influence and Oversight Panel
and the consequential changes to the Constitution are made. More
information in section 4.6 of the report.
