Purpose

To approve the procurement
strategy so that tenders can be sought for repairs, maintenance and
remedial works to additional void(s) properties on a boroughwide
basis.

Content

1.           
Granted approval to proceed with a competitive
tender procedure in accordance with Contract Standing Order (CSO)
15.2 to procure two (2) contractors for undertaking repairs,
maintenance and remedial works to additional HRA void(s) properties
on a boroughwide basis.

Noted that a Contract Award Decision will be sought
following the conclusion of the tender evaluation in accordance
with CSO 17.2.

Noted that the estimated contract value is up to
£4,300,000 (£4.3m) (excluding VAT) over two (2) years
(equivalent to £2,150,000 (£2.150m) per annum), which
is below the threshold for works contracts under the Procurement
Act 2023 (PA 2023).

Noted that the estimated contract period would be
two (2) years from the contract commencement date.
 
5.           
Noted that the top two (2) highest scoring Tenderers
will be appointed as the main contractors for delivering the works,
and the allocation of works between these contractors would be at
the Council’s discretion, and the Council will endeavour to
distribute the works fairly and proportionately between the
appointed contractors.

Noted that a risk assessment was undertaken in
accordance with CSO 16.2.2 using the Greenwich Risk Assessment
Process (GRAP), which determined that this procurement is low
risk.
