Approval to procure a new provider for delivery of domestic mail/parcels for London Boroughs postage needs

Agreed to procure a contract for the supply of postal goods, services and solutions for a singular period of five (5) years.
Noted the Royal Borough of Greenwich (RBG) will be acting as one of the lead authorities on behalf of the London Borough Postal Board and that the intention is to place a contract through the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) RM6280 Postal Services and Solutions Framework Agreement.
Noted the total cost to RBG for the 5-year period is expected to be circa £6,616,666.
Noted by procuring with the members of the London Borough Postal Board, fixes the pricing for 5 years resulting in expected savings on average of £99,000 per year, being an expected saving of £450,000 over the 5-year term. All members of the London Borough Postal Board who are participating in this procurement will enter into a multiparty agreement with the successful supplier.
Noted this contract let is for the distribution of all the council’s mailing, not limited to letters.
