the 24 sites (197 homes) contained within Appendix
One of this report (which were initially targeted for assessment in
Years 2 and 3 of the Greenwich Builds Phase 2 programme) and
approved that they are progressed to the next stage which
will establish the development feasibility and assess the financial
viability for each site with a view to including them in Phase 2 of
the Greenwich Builds new council housing delivery
programme.
 
Approved
delegated authority to the Cabinet Member for
Regeneration to agree the formal inclusion of the 24 sites into
Greenwich Builds Phase 2, which will include a summary on the
consultation and full site assessment agreed by Cabinet for each
site.
 
Noted Cabinet, at its meeting of 17
February 2022, agreed the budget envelope of £397.32m for the
delivery of a target of 1,000 new Council Homes through direct
delivery and acquisitions and to agree the development budget is
allocated from this sum for each site by the Cabinet Member for
Regeneration.
 
Noted that all feedback from resident
consultation on Phase 2 of the Greenwich Builds new council homes
building programme, will be shared to the Cabinet Member for
Regeneration for consideration.
 
Noted that further reports will be
presented to Cabinet which will detail additional sites recommended
for inclusion in the Greenwich Builds Phase 2 programme, and which
will contribute towards the delivery of the 1,000 new Council homes
target.
