1.           
Approved the extension to the current contract with
MLL Telecom Ltd (Company No. 02657917) in accordance with CSO 33.1
to continue to provide managed network services for a further 4
years until July 2027 in line with the contract terms.
 
2.           
Noted the original OJEU notice for this contract
provided for a 6-year initial period with extension options of 4
years. The full term is sought to secure the most favourable
pricing to the Council, especially in relation to underpinning
contracts.
 
3.           
Accepted that the contract extension term would run
from 08 Jul 2023 to 07 Jul 2027 and continue to operate on
essentially the existing contractual and service terms. Minor
adjustments are explained later in this document. Adjustments
within service elements of the contract are also permitted i.e. to
scale up or down and revise the delivery method so the Council can
take advantage of technological changes.

Noted the original award report approved the cost of
£6,707,471.00 for the original contract term. This report is
seeking to approve the difference between the estimated contract
value (£14m) and the current spend.
 
5.           
Noted the overall estimated price for the term of
the extension is a cost of £7,292,529. There is provision for
annual CPI adjustment. The first-year cost would be
£1,122,300 and includes some one-off modernisation works. The
cost of the extension is within the estimated cost of the entire
life of the contract as advertised on the OJEU notice
(£14,000,000).
