1.   
Agreed to increase rents in the Councils temporary
accommodation for homeless applicants to the levels set out in
section 5 of the report.
 
2.   
Noted that the increases if agreed will result in
rent being consistent with anticipated 2024/25 Local Housing
Allowance (LHA) rates.
 
3.   
Noted that this decision is exempt from Call in for
the reasons set out in paragraph 3 of the report.

Noted that on 26 October the Leader of the Council,
Anthony Okereke agreed to vary the scheme of delegation in Part 3
of the Constitution and withdraw the delegation to Cabinet to agree
increases in fees and charges by more than inflation and allocate
the matter to the Director of Housing and Safer Communities
specifically in respect of :

Setting fees and charges in respect of occupation of the Councils
temporary accommodation units for Applicants being assisted by the
Council under the Housing Act 1996.
