1.       Agreed to delegate
authority to the Director of Finance to undertake statutory
consultation on the following options for changing the Local
Council Tax Support Scheme (LCTS). 

 
2.       Agreed that the
recommended changes to be consulted on are to:
 

·                               
consider implementing an income banded scheme;

·                               
review the level of entitlement, whilst protecting
the level of support for the residents on the lowest incomes;

·                               
review the rules for non-dependants and second
adults in a property.

 

3.       Noted that the
findings of the proposed consultation, Equalities Impact
Assessment and the final proposal for
delivery, will be brought back to a meeting of the Cabinet to
consider and determine.
