Full council record
Purpose

To agree an updated
and improved offer for home owners, landlords and developers that
increases the supply of privately rented homes made available to
meet homelessness duties. This includes private rented sector
tenancies which the council has no landlord responsibilities for
and private sector homes for which the council enters into a lease
of fewer than 10 years (Private Sector Leasing). This will
contribute to the council better meeting the housing needs of more
homeless households and reducing the council’s spend from the
General Fund on temporary accommodation.
