Licensing Committee

The Licensing Committee is responsible for the council's licensing functions under various acts, including the Licensing Act 2003 and the Gambling Act 2005. It handles applications and disciplinary matters related to alcohol and entertainment licenses, gambling, taxis, private hire vehicles, street trading, food and water safety, health and safety, animal establishments, and charitable collections.

Sub-committees conduct hearings for contested applications and deal with disciplinary issues, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
