Overview and Scrutiny Committee – Services (up to October 2025)

The Overview and Scrutiny Committee – Services provides constructive challenge and oversight of council services to drive improvement and enhance accountability. It acts as a check and balance on decision-makers, amplifying public concerns without making executive decisions itself. This committee is designated as the council's crime and disorder committee. Its remit covers Community Services, Environmental Services, Regulatory Services, Commercial Services, and Regeneration and Planning Policy, including Planning Development. In certain circumstances, the Overview and Scrutiny Committee – Resources may take over scrutiny of items with significant funding implications.
