To extend the existing staff lone worker
personal safety device contract for 12 months (+ optional further
12 months). The annual contract value is £10K.

Reasons for the decision

The existing contract and service agreement
has expired. A further 12 month extension is required to ensure
continuity of service and ongoing protection of staff who rely on
personal safety devices to protect their health and safety in lone
worker situations.

Alternative options considered

There are no alternative options as we need to ensure continuity of
protection for staff who have been issued with these existing
personal safety devices pending a future joint procurement exercise
for personal safety devices across Guildford and Waverley
Councils.
