To approve the grant of the Contracted-Out
lease of part of Level 3 Multi-Storey Car Park, Bedford Road,
Guildford, GU1 4SJ dated as soon as possible to Age UK Surrey for
the purpose of operating the Shopmobility Scheme in line with the
following terms and conditions:
For grant of a new lease the rent will be a peppercorn.
The tenant is Age UK Surrey.
The agreed term is for a period of 5 years to expire on 31st March
2030. The lease will be subject to mutual options to break on 31st
March 2026 / 2027/ 2028 and 2029, on giving one months’ prior
written notice.
The tenant receives a grant from the Council amounting to
£44,874.00 for the financial year 2025-2026.
The tenant will cover the cost of the Council’s legal fee in
the preparation of the new lease.
