The Incuhive Group Ltd has been offering free
independent and impartial advice to new and start up businesses,
and those thinking of starting a business, in the Borough of
Guildford for two years from 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2025. The UK
Shared Prosperity Fund has been supporting this free service for
two years but the grant closed on 31 March 2025 so an alternative
funding stream is needed.
The Council plans to continue working with Incuhive for another
year to assist the Borough's small business community but this time
it will be funded by the Council's Economic Development revenue
budget for 2025/2026.
This Funding Agreement is between the Council and The Incuhive
Group Ltd for one year from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026 at a cost
of £4,800.00.

Reasons for the decision

To provide the Borough's small business
community with invaluable help and assistance, free of charge. The
last two years has proved to be extremely successful for small
businesses in the Borough and we want to keep this service going to
benefit this important sector.
