The annual garden waste charge has been
reviewed to ensure that it covers the Council costs to operate the
service and offers value for money for residents. Two options were
available:
Option 1 - Do nothing
Option 2 - Increase the price of the service.

Following a review of the pricing and submission to the Financial
Recovery Executive Working Group it was established that a price
increase was required to ensure costs to Guildford Borough Council
were met. The price identified to ensure this was £58 per bin
for the year.

£58 per bin per year has subsequently been set in alignment
with the requirements under delegated authority.
