The Council has agreed to enter into a
nominations agreement with Abri Housing Association for new
affordable homes being delivered in the area.

Reasons for the decision

This agreement ensures that the Council
retains the right to nominate eligible local residents for these
homes, helping to meet local housing needs and provide secure,
affordable accommodation for our community.

Alternative options considered

An alternative option would have been not to
enter into a nominations agreement; however, this would have
resulted in the Council having no formal rights to nominate
eligible households to the affordable homes, reducing our ability
to meet local housing need.
