Procurement of additional laptops for
organisation use (Officer/Councillor devices)

Reasons for the decision

The IT team in Guildford oversees internal IT
support, including the provision and maintenance of laptops for
Officers and Councillors. With the current stock projected to be
depleted within the next few weeks, a decision was made to procure
additional laptops. This will address anticipated demand and to
replace the worst of our aged laptops.

Alternative options considered

Quotes were obtained from three potential
suppliers previously used by the Council. These suppliers provided
a range of options, which were evaluated based on the required
specifications, delivery timescales, and cost. The option offering
the best price and suitability was selected.
