The Council has been awarded monies under the
Contain Outbreak Management Fund (COMF) to support communities
affected by the pandemic.
The grant is to be used to enable the HIVE to become a more
accessible community hub for all the borough and to support the
most vulnerable. Works will be done to ensure the criteria of the
COMF funding below is met
a. Enhanced communication and support of hard-to-reach groups
b. Delivery of essentials for those in self-isolation - such as
community pantry and community fridge
c. Targeted interventions for specific sections of the local
community and workplaces. Space made available to have NHS
vaccines/health checks at the HIVE
d. Enabling partners to work at the Hive therefore harnessing
capacity within local sectors (voluntary, academic,
commercial).
g. Enabling the HIVE to become a better space for any emergency or
outbreak management needed.
h. Providing initial support, as needed, to vulnerable people
classed as Extremely Vulnerable through wider services
