Approval of the South West Surrey Grant
2025-26 of £28,516.00, payable in two instalments (April 2025
and October 2025). NB. April payment has been delayed whilst the
appropriate approvals are sought.

Reasons for the decision

1. The purpose of the funding is to support
South West Surrey Domestic Abuse Service to employ a full time
Outreach Worker that will support people living in Guildford.
2. The service will provide free, confidential and independent
advice to all members of the community including refugee clients
where there is a particular need affected by domestic abuse.
3. The service will work in partnership with the Council, including
particularly the Community Safety and Resettlement teams, to raise
awareness about the support available to people. This may include
in-person community engagement opportunities such as attending the
Ukrainian coffee mornings and attending community hubs such as the
Ukrainian Hub and The Hive.

1. To not provide funding.
