The Council has received a request to grant a
licence for access and works, including use of an area as a site
compound on land at St Catherines Hill, Old Portsmouth Road,
Peasmarsh, Guildford, Surrey, in line with the following terms and
conditions:

The licence will be granted to Network Rail Infrastructure Limited
(NRIL), the current owners of adjoining operational land forming
part of the railway at Guildford Sands cutting.

The Licencees have agreed to pay £225 per week for the
licence, plus our costs. The period of the licence is 4 weeks, with
the option to extend the period by 2 weeks.

The Grantees will be required to obtain our approval for (1)
pedestrian and vehicular access via an access track to the site
compound, part-way up St Catherines Hill, which is to be used for
building materials, welfare facilities, and construction vehicles,
and the use of a track barrow to deliver and collect fencing
materials to and from the site; and (2) the installation of 120
metres of 1.8m high green GPC galvanised Palisade fencing and one
1.8m high green GPC galvanised Palisade gate to replace the
existing black fencing and gate; and the installation of grey GPC
galvanised handrails to replace the existing yellow
handrails.

The works will allow NRIL to comply with the condition of the s38
Commons Act 2006 decision on the application made on 1st March
2021.
