The Council has received a request from SCC to
grant a Licence to use GBC’s private roadway at Westfield
Road and Moorfield Road during intended night-time roadworks
20-27th July, in line with the following terms and
conditions:

The licensee is Surrey County Council

There is no Licence fee. The road improvement works are to the
benefit of all users and relate to the section of Westfield Rd that
is owned by SCC. However, a diversion will operate over GBC owned
unadopted roadway and Officers wish to ensure proper arrangements
are in place as regards indemnity in case of damage caused to any
party using the GBC owned roadway that currently is in poor
condition. In accordance with the Council’s General Disposal
Consent powers, this provides the ‘best consideration
reasonably obtainable’ where the proposed term exceeds seven
(7) years].
