To award a contract to a single contractor for
whole house building safety, which will be managed within Technical
Services for GBC housing stock. This is following a mini tender
through a procurement frame work.

Reasons for the decision

To have one contractor who is able to carry
out multiple disciplinary works within individual properties to
reduce risk of prosecution and non compliance of statutory
regulations. As well as economies of scale to reduce costs and
create savings. With an operational benefit of managing one
contractor for multiple works and improved communications for
tenants by only liaising with one contractor.
