Appointment of a consultant to provide
Structural & Civil Engineering consultancy services required
for York Road Homeless Centre refurbishment.
Estimate for value of services: £2,300 + VAT

Reasons for the decision

To provide the services necessary to prepare
information required to submit planning application and enable
delivery of the refurbishment project.

Alternative options considered

1. Don't appoint external consultant for these
services:
- The Council does not have in-house resource to prepare the
required information and would not be a able to deliver the
project.
2. Carry out competitive tender process:
- Not required due to the low value to comply with Procurement
processes guidelines and legislation.
- Would extend the programme.
