A decision to vary the original contract with
Carter Jonas for planning consultancy services in relation to the
Manor House Flats project.
Value of the additional services: £4,300.

Reasons for the decision

During the delivery of the Agreement the scope
of the project has changed, in turn resulting in the Consultant
providing additional services to obtain Planning Consent and enable
project delivery. The Council and the Consultant have agreed that
the Agreement shall be varied to enable the Consultant to receive
remuneration for the additional services.

Alternative options considered

Alternative options considered:
1) Not to vary contract - this would not allow completion of
services by the appointed specialist consultant.
2) Seek quotes from alternative suppliers for the additional
services - this would incur further time delays. The
project-specific expertise and knowledge of the previous supplier
would be lost.
