To approve the grant of the occupational
licence of Castle Cottage to TJR Group limited (contracted by GBC
to erect Christmas lights at the Castle site) in line with the
following terms and conditions:
The fee will be £350.00 per week inclusive of all
costs.
The agreed licence period is 3 November 2025 to 16 January
2026
The fee will be payable in advance by GBC Events Team.
The Licensee is responsible for cleaning the property whilst in
occupation and repairing any damage that has been caused by their
occupation in line with a photographic schedule of condition.

Reasons for the decision

The Licensee, TRJ Group Limited, are putting
up Christmas lighting on the Guildford Castle site over the
Christmas period. Castle Cottage will be used as a lunch break area
along with providing WC facilities for the Licensee’s
staff.

Alternative options considered

The decision meets the policy requirements for
the Council and there were no alternative options available.
