Content
1).
To contract the planting of c250m of new and replacement native
hedgerow at Tyting Farm to contribute to the habitats and
biodiversity of the site and the traditional visual amenity of the
Surrey Hills National Landscape. And then in conjunction with other
habitats at Tyting Farm to provide biodiversity net gain for
proposed habitat banking.
2).
To release sufficient budget to contract the works expected at just
under £5K.
Reasons for the decision
The new sections of hedgerow enhance the
natural environment including biodiversity, wildlife habitats and
nature recovery. As well as increasing and contributing to carbon
storage and sequestration and providing public amenity benefits for
visitors.

MAINTAINING GUILDFORD BOROUGH’S NATURAL ENVIRONMENTS, AND
RESTORE WILDLIFE HABITATS. IN SUPPORTING NATURE RECOVERY, WE WILL
LOOK TO RESTORE HABITATS, PROTECT WILDLIFE, AND COMBAT CLIMATE
CHANGE.
