Chester Bridge/Ash Road Bridge –
transfer of land from Guildford Borough Council (‘GBC’)
to Surrey County Council (‘SCC’) being part of the land
which is being adopted by SCC.
This transfer of land is being completed pursuant to a Section 278
agreement relating to Chester Bridge/Ash Road Bridge which was
entered into by GBC with SCC and landowners on 22 June 2023.

Reasons for the decision

That Section 278 agreement requires this land,
which forms part of the road bridge land being adopted by SCC, to
be transferred to SCC within 1 month of SCC issuing the Final
Certificate for adoption of Chester Bridge/Ash Road Bridge.
