Ash
residents can give their views on proposed Neighbourhood
Plan
Residents in Ash can help shape
the future of their community by taking part in a consultation on a
proposed Neighbourhood Plan. This is a
real opportunity for the Ash community to directly influence the
places where they live and work. The more people who get involved,
the stronger the final Plan will be.
The consultation will run until
12noon on Monday 9 March.
More
information on the Plan and an online response form are available
on our consultation website.

including:

February 2026

Electric Theatre roundtable event
The Leader thanked all the
performers, venue operators, arts groups and other stakeholders,
who participated in the roundtable event that we hosted earlier
this month. Led by an independent facilitator, the session was
designed to bring the community together to work together to shape
ideas and develop shared values for the theatre's
future.
Participants demonstrated real
energy and passion throughout the day and provided valuable
insights. A report on this would be considered by the Executive
later this year.
To find out more about the roundtable visit the newsroom of our
website.
New Guildford Climate Hub launches
The Council had recently launched a new online resource to
help residents, businesses and community groups better understand
climate change and how they can take action. The ‘Guildford
Climate Hub’ brings together clear, trusted information in
one place. It explains:
·
what climate change
means for Guildford,
·
what we are doing to
address it
·
and how everyone in
the borough can play their part.
It also highlights local support, events and community
groups who are making a difference. This new website supports one
of our key priorities; to make Guildford a more sustainable
borough.
Business Question Time
The fourth Guildford and Waverley Business Question Time
will take place on Monday 16 March at the Harbour Hotel. It will be
a free event bringing local businesses together to network, share
ideas and hear from leading voices.
This year’s theme would be Resilience in the Digital
Age, with a keynote from Jane Frankland MBE, a renowned
cyber?security expert. Businesses will also have the chance to quiz
