Decision to vary Civica OPENRevenues contract for encryption at rest and data cleansing. Encryption at rest is a DWP requirement and data cleansing compliments this.

Reasons for the decision

We need to enhance data security. This can only be provided by our current software supplier.

Alternative options considered

The alternative option is "do nothing". However improved security is a DWP requirement, and if we do not make the improvement they will remove the access to their data that we need to provide Housing Benefits to residents.
